Maternity Home

For young pregnant ladies aged 12 - 21 who need a safe place to stay while pregnant, we offer full residential services.  The residential services are provided in a wonderful large residential home that is clean, beautifully furnished, and private.  Our staff provides a loving and friendly environment for the young women who come to live there, and each client is made to feel comfortable.   

The home is at an undisclosed location in Kansas City, Missouri for the privacy and safety of our ladies. Ladies are housed twenty-four hours per day, seven days per week.  Parents or guardians are encouraged to stay in contact with their daughters while they live there. 

Clients receive case management, counseling, educational/vocational guidance, life skill, parenting, & nutrition classes, safe housing, daycare information, Bible Studies, after care support, shop in our Baby Boutique, and adoption counseling (if choosing adoption).

Outreach Program

The Outreach Program is offered to aid young mothers with practical, physical, and spiritual needs to support them in their decision to choose life for their babies. The Outreach Program serves young mothers who are either going through pregnancy or already have young children. Young mothers may join the Outreach program before their youngest child is 21 months old. By being involved in the Outreach Program, mothers learn parenting, nutrition, life, and leadership skills to exceed self-sufficiently. Each year a number of topics are covered through Outreach programming. This program is offered every Tuesday evening and also includes a Bible study and the opportunity to earn coupons to shop in our Baby Boutique.

Adoption Agency

The Light House is a full service adoption agency in Missouri with experienced, licensed staff. We have over 20 years of experience with nearly 300 successful adoptions. We help connect birth mothers who delivered their babies in Missouri with potential Christian adoptive families who can live throughout the country.

Baby Boutique

Ladies who stay in our Maternity Home and attend our Outreach Program are able to earn coupons for participation, which they can use to purchase items in our boutique.

This ministry is supported solely by donations from generous individuals, churches, and organizations. We receive items like gently used baby clothing and blankets along with new items like diapers (sizes newborn through 5), wipes, baby food, car seats, highchairs, and strollers.
